Morning school runs in Wessex Village- charming colonial time warp. The buildings here are former British Army barracks from a bygone era. Most have been nicely restored and many are used today for housing and small businesses. We often hang about in this neighbourhood as my children's school is located here. I love the jungle greens and the crazy trees. Sometimes reminds me of my own 1970's childhood in Hawaii. Although here is no where near Hawaii and the two are not at all comparable- it's the colour green, the tin roofs and the tropical flowers that throw me a good memory and I love it when that happens!
