Bits & Bats

Hello there. Hope your week has been smashing. Here are the jasmine and flowers and leaves I found in the markets of Little India from my last post. Pretty right? The scent was gorgeous and it filled the house just perfectly. It's getting to be the season of holiday markets and craft fairs around here and for all those who love a spot of shopping this is the best time to check out singapore's many small and independent businesses and 'pop up' boutiques. The upcoming Boutiques Fair is one of the best markets here, where you can find loads of unique products, artisan crafts and design from all over the world. Many of the market stalls here are independent upstarts of expatriate women, who export, import, create and design goods. This entrepreneurship and small business collective is a big inspiration and really encourages me to keep in pursuit of my own creative endeavours whilst living abroad. So watch this space!
