Hello from Switzerland. We finally made it up to Verbier! I have made this small photo journal with some of my impressions. Hope you enjoy. For those in the know, Verbier is THE place for winter sport resort. It's hip and happening and down right riche. But beyond all the glamour and glitz, I found a mountain that feels like home, very chilled and very cordial. With just one hour's drive from our house, we woke early, packed the car, coffee to go and hit the road. We had a ski lesson booked for the kids at 10am and a forest walk mapped out for me and the pup. It was the perfect getaway. The forest walk was beautiful and we ended the trail at a lookout point where we could watch all the skiers coming down off their run. It was here at this moment when I became convinced that I will never ski but instead I will snowboard! And I cannot wait for the next time we're on that mountain so I can ride again after all these years. Check back here to see how I will make that happen! : ) After our walk in the evergreens, my dog and I hung out at the W Hotel and had a warm cuppa while we waited for the kids to come off the slopes. Then over a late lunch at the legendary Offshore Cafe, we talked and laughed about all the fun they had had skiing, before heading back down the mountain and back home. Fab day out, so highly recommended, we love Verbier! Go pack your bags!
