Hello all. Thought I'd share some fun ways to take pictures of maybe reluctant teenagers and middle schoolers. You don't need much besides maybe a bribe of pocket money or something yummy for lunch, ha ha. No really, a lot of kids this age love to pose anyway and here honestly all we had was a white wall and some black eyeliner which these two fashioned into cat's whiskers. Way cute! This is my daughter and her friend and was actually taken outside in front of our garage door 5 minutes before they were off to their Middle School Halloween Disco. Keep backgrounds simple and find contrast between your subject and backdrop, the result is a filmstrip like quality. It's a great way to create a contact sheet series of images with each frame having a different pose. Kids love them too because they're "cool" and have that retro photo booth vibe that is so popular at the minute. Have fun!
