We have a sixteen year old now guys. Today is my eldest boy's birthday. My most kind, gentle, beautiful boy. I have thought about this day since he was a baby, when I was a new mother thinking of all the wonderful milestones ahead. Now the day has arrived and yes, I can tell you that it all went too quickly but also that being a mom has been the best thing in all of my life. Sixteen feels different, it's so proper teenager. I love it! It really has been amazing to see my kids growing up. I won't ever want it to end! But as life churns and the children do inevitably grow up, I will still be their mom, happy for all that is still ahead. So much love my heart is bursting. Happy Birthday C. Have fun. xox
We celebrated a birthday around here over the weekend. This is my little boy and he is so loved! A happy, sweet and funny little fella. Here he has posed for me a few years back when I got my first digital camera. My digital photos are not very saturated I have discovered and they are not heavily retouched or edited. My background is in film photography and I still shoot and process in a natural analogue manner. I really strive to capture my subjects in an honest way. This is my boy and I can attest that his little personality is shining right through in these pics. Makes me so happy to look back at them. Do you like this style? Do you have any birthdays coming up? How about having a traditional portrait taken for a unique family gift and long lasting heirloom. Now taking bookings here in Switzerland. See my contact page for details.
Where I live now there is a tiny little village nearby where the most lovely Hollywood Golden Age starlet used to reside. Audrey Hepburn lived at her charming 18th century ivy-covered villa, La Paisible, which means "peaceful" in French for the latter 30 years of her life. The small village of Tolochenaz is located near Morges in the French speaking part of Switzerland on Lake Geneva. My daughter and I went there recently to take a peek at Hepburn's beautiful home and pay our respects to the most charming, stylish, sweetest actress ever. This is not a tourist site and our visit was incredibly quaint and very spontaneous. In the village square there is a statue bust commemorating Audrey and then as you walk further down a small road you will find La Paisible, just behind a low stone wall. The villa is so picturesque, a large old farmhouse with light blue shutters and an amazing garden brimming with trees and flowers. For all of you Audrey fans out there, you might know what I'm talking about here, for what we found was moving and a real inspiration. I took some pictures and my daughter borrowed my trench coat for some Audrey inspired looks. It was so quiet there as we walked through the village and discussed what a lovely cinematic fashion icon Audrey was and why it only takes "Sabrina", "Roman Holiday" and "Breakfast At Tiffany's" to see what all the fuss is about. Thank you Audrey Hepburn for all the grace, humanity, beauty and inspiration that you have given.
Hey guys. I'm super happy to share with you some pics from a recent photo shoot earlier this summer. These tweens are amazing! Not only are they beautiful but they are sweet, polite, full of spirit, talent and aspirations too. I have photographed them to be included in my new portfolio launch as samples of my work now available here in Switzerland. Teens and tweens are some of my absolute favourite subjects! This is the perfect age to get some portraits taken, it's such an important time. A wonderful age still so full of youth yet growing up so quickly, trying to figure out who they are and where they are going. With a photograph time is captured, stood still and offers an awesome forever memory for family and friends. I'm now taking bookings for Autumn 2016. Get in touch via the contact form on this website or email me directly at tanyamossphoto.gmail.com for a meet up and/or to discuss scheduling, location ideas, clothing and any ideas you might have for your portrait session. Printing services also available, details coming soon!
Hey there. Hope you are all having a wonderful summer. A few weeks ago I photographed my friend's children at Lutry Plage along Lake Geneva. It was a lovely late spring day just before the start of summer. These kids! I love the smiles and the casual, care free attitudes. The blue of the lake and the sweet wisteria tree we found in full bloom along the bank add some pretty soft pastel tones to the scene. This is a sample of some of the portrait photography I am up to at the moment. If interested get in touch! I am now taking bookings for Autumn. See you soon! : )
